About us

Ilomío exists to honor Latin American craftsmanship as modern heirloom design, creating culturally-rich objects that connect past, present, and future. It began with the belief that the stories held in clay, glass, fiber, and wood are ever transforming at the hands of the artisans that mold beauty and purpose into them — and these stories deserve to be lived with.

Ilomío invites presence into a world where the warmth of golden hour reveals beauty at every turn: in the imperfect plaster of a centuries-old wall, in hand-carved doors softened by time, in time-polished cobblestone roads, in the way time shapes and shifts. Nothing is pristine, yet everything feels storied, rich, lasting, and inspiring.

Rooted in millennia‑old artisanal techniques and contemporary design, Ilomío bridges past, present, and future, through objects that honor ancestral knowledge while living fully in the modern home. We curate and create objects shaped by artisanal craft and native materials — pieces that feel collected, lived-in, and personal. Each one carries the warmth of the hands that made it, the memory of place, and the quiet confidence of work that does not rush.

Ilomío celebrates Latin American craftsmanship for its enduring, visionary and story-rich elements.

Our purpose

Ilomío was created to make it easier for people to live with meaningful objects — pieces that carry history, artistry, and cultural continuity. We exist for those who believe the home is an extension of identity — for design‑forward, culturally-curious individuals who value depth, story, and intention.

We partner with artisans and designers across Latin America to preserve traditional crafts, support economic sustainability, and visibility. Every object is a collaboration across generations, shaped by hands that have honed their mastery over time.

Our philosophy

We move slowly and deliberately. Every detail serves a purpose, creating a sense of depth and lasting value. Our world is warm, editorial, and quietly confident. We favor texture over trend, materiality over spectacle, and stories that unfold over time rather than all at once.

Guiding principles

Cultural Continuity

We honor ancient techniques by presenting them through a contemporary lens, allowing heritage to evolve naturally.

Artisan‑Centered Design

The artisan is at the heart of every object, their mastery shaping the soul of every piece.

Heirloom Quality

Our objects are designed to last, to be collected slowly, lived with fully, and passed down.

Curated Living

We believe in homes that feel personal and evolving, where objects are chosen with intention and lived with deeply.
